Similar to a PDO thread lift, a silhouette thread lift is a nonsurgical alternative to facial plastic surgery that restores more youthful contours. Silhouette thread lifts insert tiny, bidirectional cones that adhere to and lift the facial tissues and muscles while stimulating collagen.
These cones work in much the same way as the barbed threads used in a PDO lift. By attaching to the tissues, these cones lift and secure sagging facial tissues higher in the face, which not only restores volume to the midface but also helps to reduce sagging in the lower third of the face, such as jowls.
The cones tend to dissolve after six to 12 months, and the results can last up to three years.
